Often, people think they are not in a position to give because they don’t have a lot. At Maggie’s Place, little bits add up to big life changes. Right now, donors are contributing to the Back To School Drive. Some are giving big; but most are giving small. Those donations joined together make it possible for our alumnae mom’s kids to return to school ready and prepared. What a difference!
Here’s a list that puts giving into perspective.
$30 provides one night of housing.
$50 provides five packs of diapers.
$100 provides one month of counseling sessions for a mom.
$250 provides one month of fresh groceries for one of our homes.
$500 provides one month of electricity for two of our homes.
$1000 provides an eight week parenting class for 12 moms.
$2500 provides provides one month of bus passes for 50 moms.
$5000 provides five scholarships to continue or start school,
giving a mom more opportunities as she works toward a brighter future.
Big, or small, you can see what a difference your help makes. This time of year we are also running low on housing necessities. Things like paper towels, diapers, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, canned goods and nonperishable items are needed at all the Maggie’s Place homes. You can always visit the Needs List of your favorite house to find out what the moms are requesting.
Of course, you can always volunteer and become a part of the Maggie’s Place family that way. However you become a part of Maggie’s Place, we’re glad you’re here.
Blessings!
