There’s still time to make a gift of your Charitable Tax Credit. You can help pregnant and new moms at Maggie’s Place through the Arizona Tax Credit–a great way to make your tax dollars count.
You can donate up to $800 to support Maggie’s Place and then get it back when you file your taxes. And unlike years past, the deadline is April 15. We’ve even got a link to make it easy.
Here’s how it works. Taxpayers who file as “single” and “head of household” can claim a maximum credit of $400. Taxpayers that are married and filing jointly can claim up to $800. When you file your taxes, you get the full amount back as a credit. You can also designate any other amount not to exceed the guidelines. It’s a great, and painless, way to make a difference.
Where does your tax credit to Maggie’s Place go? You’ll be providing women with shelter, food, clothing and a supportive community and Maggie’s Place family. You’ll also be providing resources like prenatal care, access to health care, low cost housing and educational programs.
“Maggie’s Place opens our doors to women who know the powerlessness of poverty and the effects of living on the edge of “normal.” Once we meet their basic needs of housing, food and safety, we provide counseling and over 30 programs that equip them with the necessary skills for independence. They are then ready to return to the world with a renewed spirit, knowing they can give and receive love and continue to participate in our services as they build their new lives,” explains Laura Magruder, CEO of Maggie’s Place.
There is no easier way to become a part of the community that makes up the Maggie’s Place family. Thank you on behalf of all our moms.
