Blessings come from everywhere.
Did you know you can gift your car to Maggie’s Place? Currently, we are so very grateful for a vehicle gifted to us just this past week. A donor, who found us online, donated a 2000 Chevy Impala with only 38,000 miles to help our moms and babies all across the Valley.
There are cars at all our houses in order to transport moms and babies to doctors appointments, classes and, of course, to the hospital and back when a little one is born. Currently, we have over ten cars in use throughout Maggie’s Place. Imagine running any home without a vehicle. Or getting to the places you need to go.
“It is a great gift to us,” says Jeff Fuentebella, Operations Manager. He keeps everything working all over the Maggie’s Place footprint–all the houses and The Fiat Resource Center as well. We asked about vehicle needs at Maggie’s Place.
“Cars need to be reliable, in working order and have low mileage as we do not have the capacity to sell cars. We can only accept cars that can still be used as reliable transportation for moms and babies so they must be safe.”
The new Chevy may spend a bit of time at The Fiat House to take care of the resource center needs but will eventually be relocated to a house in need of a car. Who knows–it might be the next vehicle that brings a new baby home from the hospital.

And to our anonymous donor: Our deepest thanks on behalf of all the moms and babies at Maggie’s Place.
