Christmas is one of our favorite times of the year at Maggie’s Place – when we remember the birth of a child who would bring hope to the world.
Each year, we realize how big our community is growing at our annual Christmas party. Hundreds of Maggie’s Place current and alumnae families attend, reuniting over a home-cooked dinner while Santa makes an appearance.
This Christmas, over 400 moms and children were given gifts through Maggie’s Place thanks to the generosity of hundreds of churches, business, and individual donors. It’s always a joy to watch the alumni kids’ faces light up when they first see their family’s bag of presents, which they take home and open on Christmas morning.
Our homes make it a tradition to wake up early each Christmas morning and open gifts as a Maggie’s Place family. In the afternoon, our homes shared Christmas dinner together at The Magdalene House. It is a meaningful time to share stories, create new traditions and break bread together.
